After thirteen years in development hell, writer/director Victor Salva's JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 is now filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We've known for a while that previous CREEPERS stars Gina Philips, Brandon Smith, and Jonathan Breck were in the cast, coming back to reprise the roles of Trish Jenner, Sergeant Davis Tubbs, and the Creeper himself, but now the sequel's first new cast member has been announced.

Brandon Stacy, whose previous credits include TERMINATOR: GENISYS and PIRANHA SHARKS, has signed on to star in JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 as Deputy Miller, "who in his off-hours leads a band of people on the hunt for the Creeper."

You may note that Stacy looks quite a bit like Zachary Quinto, and they have actually played the same role: Stacy starred as Mr. Spock in several episodes of a fan-made Star Trek production.

JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 will show

events on the last day of the Creeper’s twenty-three day feeding frenzy, as the skeptical Sergeant Tubbs teams up with a task force hellbent on destroying the Creeper for good. The Creeper fights back in gory glory as its enemies grow closer than ever before to learning the secret of its dark origins.

The story centers on

Trish, who now worries that years later, the Creeper will take her son, just as it did her brother. Her solution is to go after the Creeper herself.

That story sounds good enough to me. After all these years, I'm looking forward to seeing the Creeper back on the screen.
