Brighten your day with two extended bonus clips from Thor: Ragnarok

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

After finding himself himself on Sakaar, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is captured and sold as a gladiator to the Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum), who rules the planet and orchestrates the Contest of Champions. Although the character is seen as some immortal being from some far flung galaxy, he's clearly just Jeff Goldblum with cosmic powers, and a pair of recently released bonus extended scenes from THOR: RAGNAROK gives us more of that Goldblum goodness.

The first clip, seen above, finds the Grandmaster ordering Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and Loki (Tom Hiddleston) to locate Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), before becoming frustrated that no one seems to understand his "universal symbols." The second features the first meeting between Thor and the Grandmaster, which is quickly interrupted by a group of flying critters. There's also a little more with the Grandmaster's cousin Carlo, who doesn't meet a very nice end. More Goldblum, please.

The official synopsis for THOR: RAGNAROK:

In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!

THOR: RAGNAROK will be available on Digital on February 20th, and will hit DVD/Blu-ray/4K Ultra HD on March 6, 2018.
