Originally announced under the title Bring It On: Halloween, a horror slasher entry in the Bring It On cheerleader movie franchise is now set to make its way out into the world with the title Bring It On: Cheer or Die. You can watch a teaser trailer for Bring It On: Cheer or Die in the embed above – and the trailer reveals that the film is set to premiere on Syfy on October 8th!

A Universal 1440 Entertainment and Beacon Pictures production, Bring It On: Cheer Or Die is directed by Karen Lam (Ghost Wars) from a screenplay by Rebekah McKendry (Glorious) and Dana Schwartz (She-Hulk), based on a story by Alyson Fouse (Bring It On: Fight to the Finish). The film will follow

a cheer squad as they practice their routines overnight in an abandoned school during Halloween weekend where one-by-one, the teens fall victim to a deranged assailant.

Kerri Medders (SEAL Team), Tiera Skovbye (Midnight Sun), and Missi Pyle (Y: The Last Man) star.

Bring It On: Cheer or Die was produced by Griff Furst, with Beacon Pictures’ Armyan Bernstein and Charlie Lyons executive producing and Tony Gonzalez and C. Eve Stewart co-producing. Gonzalez is also the choreographer.

Universal 1440 Entertainment’s Glenn Ross had this to say about the project:

The Bring It On franchise got started with a 2000 theatrical release. Five direct-to-video sequels have followed: Bring It On Again, Bring It On: All or Nothing, Bring It On: In It to Win It, Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, and Bring It On: Worldwide Cheersmack.
