For those of you that enjoyed DR. GIGGLES and THE DENTIST, you’re going to love DR. RAGE, the new film by Jeff Broadstreet, starring Andrew Divoff (WISHMASTER), hottie Karen Black (HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES), Denice Duff (SUBSPECIES) and John Kassir (voice of the Cryptkeeper in TALES FROM THE CRYPT).
Formally known as THE LAST PATIENT, DR. RAGE just finished post-production, and has been generating buzz to the foreign buyers that had special screenings for it last week.
Most times, CG special effects are looked down upon in horror movies (if it looks fake, it ain’t scary), but Broadstreet embraces the film’s effects, saying that ”the visual effects give the film a really big look, and I think the audience is going to be amazed by our monster. The monster in DR. RAGE is something that has not been seen in horror movies in a long time- and never like this. The CG effects take this creature to a whole new level”
Broadstreet also has great things to say about his cast, especially Dr. Rage himself Andrew Divoff, who ”gives an intense performance as his character conducts research on human rage that takes him to the brink of madness.”
All I know is that Divoff was GREAT as Wishmaster, and I’ll put money on him kickin’ ass as the psycho doctor in this one! And having Karen Black in the mix is definitely a plus.
