According to the boys over at B-D, crazy mofo and all around hulking badass Clancy Brown has signed on to star in the upcoming NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. remake, coming at us thanks to those f*cks at Platinum Dunes.

You might recognize Brown from LOST a few seasons back, but I’ll always remember him for his crazy portrayal of Kurgan in HIGHLANDER back in ’86. Man, that dude really rocked the shite outta that role.

In NOES, Brown will play the role of Allan–no details as to anything else, just a name… which I suppose is better than nothing at all.

Brown is somewhat of a respectable actor, so it’s nice to see that there will be more than just poppy teenagers in this flick… to check out the full scoop, click HERE, and get ready for even more casting news as production kicks into gear next week in Chicago.
