Bruce, we are waiting for you! It seems like it’s been years (because it has) since we first heard of the legendary Bruce Campbell’s directorial effort MY NAME IS BRUCE. The wait to finally witness this flick has been a torturous path as painful as having your right hand chainsawed off. A couple months ago, Eric showed us all a couple of pics from the flick, but we were still waiting on that elusive release date.
But now our wait may have FINALLY ended. It seems that Horror-movies.ca just got word that MY NAME IS BRUCE will be getting a theatrical release in October 2008 and will then bow on DVD in January 2009. This should be cause for a big boomstick celebration, but we’ve been dicked around so much regarding the film’s distribution that I must force myself to remain reserved. Hopefully, a more official announcement will be made soon so that we can all breathe a sigh of relief that our wish to see BRUCE is indeed coming true. Till then I will be holed up in a remote cabin in the woods, reading the Book Of The Dead and waiting for Bruce to come and save me.
Here’s a quick plot refresher: B Movie Legend Bruce Campbell is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon.
