Postponed Bruce Springsteen tour dates rescheduled for 2024

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will return to the road in 2024 to honor the shows that were postponed this tour.

Earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen hit his fans with a tenth avenue freeze-out when he postponed the rest of his September concert dates due to peptic ulcer disease. Now, The Boss has officially moved the remainder of the tour to next year, with dates expected to be announced next week.

As seems to be the traditional move, tickets for any of the postponed shows will be honored for the future dates. Those that find they can’t attend the new tour dates will have 30 days to request a refund. While we don’t have the new dates just yet, there will be no venue changes.

As per the official X/Twitter account, “Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice.” Springsteen himself added, “Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

While it’s unfortunate that Bruce Springsteen and his longtime band had to postpone the rest of the tour – hey, I had tickets to two shows – it is comforting to hear that the gang will be back… and hopefully with a more diverse set list, although with Bruce now 74, we’re really just happy that he still has a hungry heart for performing. Now, can we at least get some extra dates thrown in there, too, Bruce?

The Springsteen and the E Street Band 2023 Tour had health issues early on as well, with various members coming down with Covid-19 and missing shows. After a hiccup that caused postponements of shows in Philadelphia and Washington D.C., The Boss and his group carried on before halting the tour in the first week of September.

This most recent tour was the first worldwide one for Bruce Springsteen since 2016-2017’s The River Tour. In between, he had a stunning 250+-date residency on Broadway.

Did you have tickets to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s tour? Are you hoping to snag some with the rescheduled dates?
