Bruce Willis’ family give update on the actor’s health

The family of Bruce Willis has provided another update on the actor, saying they are keeping him busy and in good spirits.

Bruce Willis update

The recent news that Bruce Willis’ aphasia has developed into frontotemporal dementia has shocked and saddened movie lovers everywhere. Now, his family is hoping to bring him as much comfort and activity as possible during this trying time.

A source close to Bruce Willis’ family told People, “The focus for Bruce is to keep him active. He has a busy schedule with activities every day. They make sure both his body and brain is exercised.” They added, “The family is all closer than ever…[Wife Emma Heming] wants [daughters Mabel and Evelyn] to remember Bruce as an amazing, fun dad. She wants them to have the best memories of him.”

Bruce Willis’ family issued a statement earlier this month on the progress of his condition, which has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

The diagnosis has had a major impact on the movie community, with celebrities, fans and reporters showing their support for the actor. Our own team put together a tribute to Bruce Willis, with JoBlo founder and CEO Berge Garabedian leading the way, stating in part, “The main reason Bruce Willis has always managed to maintain my interest was because he was such a likeable and charming guy…Mr. Willis, you have our utmost respect and gratitude for all that you’ve contributed to the world of entertainment during your lifetime, but also for the joy you’ve brought to millions of people around the world. We hope that you can appreciate the love and adoration that we all feel for you and may you live on for many more healthy years!” Many other contributors leant their words of gratitude and respect, which you can read here.

We certainly wish nothing but the best for Bruce Willis and his family during this time. Send your well wishes to the great Bruce Willis in the comments section below.
