Now it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of slasher flicks. Actually it’s no secret that most of us AITHers are huge fans of slasher flicks. I’m talking all slashers too, from the classic 80s stuff to the corny stuff from the 90s right up to present day slashers. So when news comes along on another slasher-esque flick heading our way you can bet your ass we’re going to tell you about it!
Which brings me to today’s update. Word is spreading across the net on a new horror flick from writer/director Ivo Raza called JARRING. Ready for the details?
“Everyone wears the mask of sanity, just because it is part of their vanity!”
The movie JarRing is inspired by true events. Like the irresistible siren song of Homer’s Odyssey, the Killing Jar Murderer lured potential victims with perversely poetic voice messages. Aghast with gruesome details of this case, stories about Phone Psycho became urban legend: “Frankenstein’s got nothing on this freak.” A tempest of riddles, messages, body parts preserved in jars, and victims carefully selected from a roster of caller IDs, the movie recalls a series of monstrous events that happened over fifteen years ago in Florida and continue to haunt. Jarring is the story of a serial killer. Who was never caught. And a serial caller. Whose remains were never found. Thanks for calling and welcome to the jar.
Simple enough. JARRING has a familiar ring to it (no pun intended…) but sounds like it has enough going for it that’ll seperate it from all the other similar genre flicks out there.
