I’m not quite sure what I was expecting here, actually I was expecting something a little closer to the Carol Burnett representation of Miss Hanningan but this is a new version– a modern version.
Thanks to director Will Gluck (EASY A, FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS) we have our first look at Cameron Diaz as Miss Hannigan. Then thanks to the paparazzi we have a photo of Diaz on set in full costume. At first I thought it was Miley Cyrus or a new Jennifer Lopez video. It is neither one of these things. What kind of orphanage is she running in that outfit? Then again, Carol Burnett boozed around in a nighty and a feathery boa around her neck. So this is the equivalent of that, right? Her legs look awesome, though!
The film also stars Quvenzhané Wallis, Jamie Foxx, Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale. Wallis will play Annie, the little orphan girl who is waiting for the sun to come out tomorrow and to be adopted, of course.
