A lot of flicks claim to pay homage to the classic horror films of the 80s and very few actually deliver on that promise. Is that a fair thing to say? Alas once and a while there is a flick that brings us back 30 years and makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Will THE LAST DEMONSLAYER be one of those films? Only time will tell.
The horror/adventure film from writer/director Shaky Gonzalez claims to be just that, ‘very much inspired by many of the genre movies from the 80s.’ Does that mean it’ll be any good? Not necessarily. But let’s read up on this one and see how it plays out. Unfortunately we don’t have a synopsis for THE LAST DEMONSLAYER but we do know it’ll be centering around the legendary ‘Succubus.’
Co-written by Lars Detlefsen, the Danish film is coming our way from producers Mikkel Kristensen and Gabrielle Uweis. It stars David Sakurai, Daniell Edwards, Hector Vega Mauricio, Erik Holmey, Kim Sønderholm and Maja Muhlack (below).
Currently shooting in Copenhagen, Denmark, plans are to eventually move production to the US later this year. Now we may not have a synopsis for THE LAST DEMONSLAYER but we do have a few early production stills to gawk at! Just scroll away above and below to check those out! Pretty vicious right?
