Candy Corn cast includes Tony Todd, PJ Soles, Courtney Gaines & more

I love a good behind the scenes documentary and one of the better ones of last year was In Hell Everybody Loves Popcorn which covered the making of Rob Zombie's 31. The director of that documentary Josh Hasty has his first feature film coming our way called CANDY CORN and we already knew the movie was all set to star actors such as Sky Elobar, Caleb Thomas, Madison Russ, Cy Creamer, Jimothy Beckholt, Nate Chaney, Patrick Ryan, Justin Mabry, Matt O'Neill, and Jaime Gallagher.

But that's nothing as today we have word that the movie has just snagged some genuine horror icons in the form of Tony Todd (CANDYMAN, FINAL DESTINATION), PJ Soles (John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN, CARRIE) Courtney Gains (CHILDREN OF THE CORN, THE 'BURBS), and Pancho Moler (Rob Zombie's 31, THREE FROM HELL). That's one hell of a cast, huh? Looks good to me!

Here's the movie's official synopsis:

It's the eve of Halloween in Grove Hill, Ohio. A traveling carnival is in town for the weekend and local outcast, Jacob Atkins, has been hired as one of the freaks in the event's main attraction, “Dr.Death's Side Show Spook House Spectacular”. Meanwhile, a group of local bullies is planning their annual public hazing of Jacob, but this year things go too far.

The thriller is written, directed, and produced by Josh Hasty (In Hell Everybody Loves Popcorn: The Making of Rob Zombie's 31) and produced by Courtney Gains and Matt O’Neill. Executive Producers include Tony Todd, James Claeys, Justin Mabry, Lindsey Kowalski, Ben Scrivens (of Fright Rags), Johnny Cooper, Nick Ford, and Brandon Cooper. Comprising the Make-up Effects team includes Justin Mabry, Chris Gallaher, and Erik Porn. Additional accredited effects team includes Russ Lukich and Emmy nominee, Dave Hartman. Costume Designer, Cody Varona also joins the team.
