Castlevania: Netflix reveals teaser and date for fourth season

So this is bittersweet. Netflix has just unveiled a new, badass teaser for the fourth season of their popular anime adaptation of Konami's iconic action-horror series Castlevania on their official Twitter account, which you can view below (that also reveals the release date, May 13th!):

…but it also links to a Deadline article that reports it will also be its last season. Luckily, however, it seems that there are indeed plans for a spin-off series with new characters, so let's keep our fingers crossed!

Here's the official synopsis for the series:

Castlevania is a dark medieval fantasy that follows Trevor (Richard Armitage), the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, who is trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes (Graham McTavish). But Trevor no longer is alone, and now he and his misfit comrades race to find a way to save humanity from extinction at the hands of the grief-maddened Dracula and his sinister vampire war council.
