Chapelwaite: full Stephen King series is now available on VOD

There are still two episodes of the Stephen King-inspired series Chapelwaite left to air on Epix. The ninth episode of the show’s ten episode run will be airing on October 24th, then there will be a marathon of episodes on October 30th before the series finale airs on Halloween. But if you want to watch all ten episodes right now, you can do so through the Epix Now app or on VOD. For example, all ten episodes can now be viewed through Amazon Prime, with an Epix subscription.

Chapelwaite is based on King’s short story Jerusalems Lot, which was a prequel to his novel Salem’s Lot. The series is set in the 1850s and follows

Captain Charles Boone, who relocates his family of three children to his ancestral home in the small, seemingly sleepy town of Preacher’s Corners, Maine after his wife dies at sea. However, Charles will soon have to confront the secrets of his family’s sordid history, and fight to end the darkness that has plagued the Boones for generations.

Adrien Brody (Predators) plays Captain Charles Boone. He is joined in the cast by Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek), who is taking on the role of Rebecca Morgan,

an ambitious young woman who left Preacher’s Corners to attend Mount Holyoke College, and has returned home with an advance to write a story for the new and prestigious Atlantic Magazine. Her writer’s block lifts when Boone arrives in town with his children, and despite her mother’s protests, Rebecca applies to be governess of the infamous Chapelwaite manor and the Boone family in order to write about them. In doing so, Rebecca will not only craft the next great gothic novel, she’ll unravel a mystery that has plagued her own family for years.

Produced by Epix Studios, Chapelwaite is executive produced by Brody, Donald De Line, Jason Filardi, Peter Filardi, and Burr Steers. The Jerusalem’s Lot short story can be found in the King collection Night Shift, which is available for purchase at THIS LINK.

JoBlo’s own Alex Maidy described Chapelwaite as “one of the better Stephen King television series to date”. You can read his review of the show HERE.
