Mmmmm … Charlize. Sorry, okay, here's the score. Today, Universal Pictures has announced that Imperator Furiosa herself, Charlize Theron, will star and produce NEED TO KNOW – a spy-related thriller based on the upcoming novel by Karen Cleveland.

The story centers around a wife and mother who works as a CIA analyst. One morning, while digitally searching files with the purpose of uncovering a Russian sleeper cell in the U.S., Theron's character makes a disturbing discovery that puts her and her loved ones in the cross hairs of some nasty government-related shadiness. Beth Kono, AJ Dix and Theron will work together to produce the film under their Denver Delilah Films label.

It's also worth noting that, in the past, Karen Cleveland has served as a CIA analyst for the past few years. Her book is reportedly already selling like gangbusters (in pre-orders and whatnot), and now with Theron attached to star in the film adaptation, I'm confident that we'll be hearing more about its success in the months to come.

Of course, don't forget that you can catch Charlize when she stars beside Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Jason Statham, Kurt Russell, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris in THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS, which will drift into theaters on April 14, 2017.
