It’s almost upon us folks: Robert Rodriguez’s MACHETE! This thing has awesome written all over it and seems damn near impossible to disappoint. If you’re reading this article then I’m probably preaching to the choir, chances are you’re already stoked for MACHETE! This past weekend Comic-Con ravagaed San Diego and left all kinds of great stuff in it’s wake, particularly seven minutes of MACHETE! That’s right folks, we’ve got the Comic-Con exclusive seven full minutes of MACHETE! Actually we don’t have it, but YouTube does! But we all know how that goes… this thing could be pulled at any second so check it out below!
Machete is a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez. Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz to assassinate McLaughlin a corrupt Senator. Double-crossed and on the run, Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz, a saucy taco slinger, Padre, his “holy” brother, and April, a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana, a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.
The film’s amazing all-star cast includes Danny Trejo, Steven Seagal, Jeff Fahey, Robert DeNiro, Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Alba (below). MACHETE slashes it’s way into theaters everywhere September 3rd!
