The last we heard on Franck Richard’s THE PACK, or as it’s known in it’s native France LE MEUTE, was way back in May 2009. That’s exactly a year ago folks! Don’t you just hate when movies disappear for a year or more? Bummer.
But with Cannes heating up it’s no surprise that THE PACK is finally starting to come around again! Today via the flick’s Facebook page we’re treated to an all new Making Of featurette. In the middle of a snowy no man’s land, Charlotte picks up Max, a hitchhiker; they stop in a truck-stop restaurant, and when Max doesn’t come back from the bathroom, Charlotte starts looking for him in vain. She decides to return during the night but gets kidnapped by the bartender, La Spack, who turns out to be Max’s mother and needs to feed her kids, “The pack”, a bunch of blood lusting ghouls. Charlotte now faces a terrifying reality: these ghouls are already dead… and hungry. Alone and in the middle of nowhere, she quickly realizes… she’s next on the menu.
Franck Richard wrote and directed the film, which stars Émilie Dequenne (below), Yolande Moreau, Eric Godon and Philippe Nahon. THE PACK is hitting France on July 7th but no word on a US release just yet. As soon as we hear something, you’ll be the first to know!
