Ti West is one of those up-and-coming genre directors we’ve been keeping our eyes on here at AITH. Actually I think it’s pretty safe to say the entire genre community has been keeping their eyes on this guy. So far he’s been very hit or miss with flicks like HOUSE OF THE DEVIL and CABIN FEVER 2 but his latest film is looking better and better with every update. I’m of course talking about THE INNKEEPERS, which we last told you about back in May.

So it’s been a couple months but we’ve finally got another INNKEEPERS update to hold us over. Today’s update is a pretty intriguing one too. You see the folks over at Interview Magazine just posted up a photographic tour of the hotel used in the film, which is about a haunted hotel. Seems like they picked a pretty perfect spot because these shots are definitely oozing with spookiness. I’ve tossed one of the shots up below but you’ll want to click through on that shite to check out the rest. West even talks about what he’d like to do next including an creepy space sci-fi film, a romantic comedy and THELMA & LOUISE with hookers. I’m not kidding.

THE INNKEEPERS centers on the last two clerks in a hundred-year-old haunted hotel in the last days before its closure as a few final strange guests come to stay.

The film stars Sara Paxton (below), Kelly McGillis and Pat Healy. No release date has been announced yet but hopefully we find out soon. I don’t know about you guys but I’m getting some pretty good vibes with this one. What do you think? Hit us with your thoughts on THE INNKEEPERS below and be sure to keep it here for more on the project as we hear it!
