Just when you thought the whole found-footage craze was dying down… we get roped right back in! That’s right folks. The sub-genre isn’t gone yet and to prove it we’ve got a brand spanking new trailer for the UK horror flick A NIGHT IN THE WOODS.
Now to be honest A NIGHT IN THE WOODS doesn’t really look like anything we haven’t seen, but for some reason I’m really digging the trailer. Dare I say this thing looks like it might even be scary??! Brody, his girlfriend Kerry and their friend Leo go hiking in Dartmoor’s Wistman’s Woods, so named because of its legendary haunted past. That night jealousies, sexual tensions and strained relationships come to a head turning what should have been a peaceful camping adventure into a trip to terror. As collective paranoia reaches fever pitch it becomes clear that there is a much darker force at work in the ancient eerie surroundings. Who or what is after them? And can any one of them survive a night in the woods?
Coming from director Richard Parry, A NIGHT IN THE WOODS stars Scoot McNairy, Anna Skellern (below) and Andrew Hawley. It’ll be hitting UK theaters on September 7th so I’m sure we can expect more updates from this little gem soon.
