Post apocalyptic flicks are always fun to watch. The question of ‘Can this really happen?’ is always fun to have in the back of your head while watching a movie about our possible future. Unfortuantely a film about a post apocalyptic world usually means some f*cked up shit… guess the future is pretty gloomy huh?
But let’s not worry about that. Instead let’s talk about DOWNSTREAM, the latest post apocalyptic flick coming from director Simone Bartesaghi and scribe Philip Kim. DOWNSTREAM is an action/sci-fi flick that centers on Wes Keller, a young man living in a world where oil has collapsed, the food supply has been wiped out, and cancer rates for women have skyrocketed, depleting the female population.
In a barbaric environment where bio fuel, batteries, bullets and people are currency and marauders roam free, Wes tries to escape to a mythical world run on cold fusion “Plutopia,” a place that may only exist in the mind.
THE BILL IS DUE. “Downstream” is a view of the not so distant future. We follow a young man (everyone’s son) as he pays the price for society’s decadence.
Sounds pretty unoriginal but fun none-the-less. We were able to score a trailer and two webisodes for DOWNSTREAM over in our videos section, all of which can be found below. DOWNSTREAM stars Jonathon Trent, Elizabeth Roberts, Jonno Roberts and Lenny von Dohlen. According to that second trailer DOWNSTREAM comes at us on February 5th.
