It’s been awhile since an indie horror flick really flipped my switch, but I just watched the trailer for HEADSPACE, and all I can say is GET ME A F*CKING TICKET! Be it theater, DVD, or grainy download off the internet I am definitely going to check this twisted puppy out.
Looking a bit like PHENOMENON on bad acid, here’s a layout of what you can expect:
25-year-old Alex Borden, whose life becomes a waking nightmare when, after meeting a mysterious chess master, his intelligence mysteriously begins to grow, along with horrors that invade his sleep. Suppressed memories surface and Alex must face the terrors of his violent past. As he faces mysterious blackouts, the disappearance of friends and neighbors, and rumors of a serial killer in his East Village neighborhood, he must conquer his own demons as well as demons both real and imagined that are stalking him.
Nice, right? And its’s got a solid genre-friendly cast that includes the likes of Dee Wallace Stone, Udo Kier, and Larry Fessenden. Granted it also inexplicably features the presence of Sean Young, but nothing’s perfect.
The Official Site has some nice content to check out, but really this is all about the awesome trailer. Go watch it now!
