Check out the first 10 minutes of Gillian Anderson’s new thriller U.F.O

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A month or so ago we shared with you guys the first trailer for the new UFO thriller cleverly titled UFO starring the first lady of THE X-FILES herself Gillian Anderson. And if that wasn’t enough to wet your appetite for some more alien-abduction thrills, the movie will be debuting on digital and DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment September 4th.

Today you can check out the first ten minutes of the movie! Yes, you read that right. Sony has just taken to YouTube and released the entire opening section of this new film. You can give it a look-see below and then let us know what you think!

Along with Anderson mentioned above, the thriller also stars Tony Award winner Alex Sharp, Academy Award nominee David Strathairn, Ella Purnell, and Ben Beatty.

It begins with:

Derek (Alex Sharp) a brilliant college student, haunted by a childhood UFO sighting, believes that mysterious sightings reported at multiple airports across the United States are UFOs. With the help of his girlfriend, Natalie (Ella Purnell), and his advanced mathematics professor, Dr. Hendricks (The X-Files’ Gillian Anderson), Derek races to unravel the mystery with FBI special agent Franklin Ahls (David Strathairn) on his heels.

Personally, I’m not finding much to like about this film thus far. But that said, the fact that it managed to gather up such top talents as Anderson and Strathairn has me thinking there may be a lot more going on with this movie than the lackluster marketing has put forth so far. I’m going to be checking it out just in case. Will you?

UFO was produced by Jeffery Sharp, Tom Rice and Evan Hayes; and executive produced by Jim Kohlberg, Siegfried Harris, and Dan Kaplow. UFO has a run time of approximately 93 minutes and is rated PG-13 for some drug material and language. Once again, the movie will be debuting on digital and DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on September 4th.

Until then you can check out the first ten minutes below. Enjoy!
