Check out the Lucifer Season 5 trailer

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It’s been an interesting run for “Lucifer”. Originally a Fox tv show with a cult following but meager ratings, the show survived cancellation to be revived by Netflix, and it’s been enough of a hit for them that the show is getting ready to drop its fifth season, for which Netflix just released the final trailer.

One thing to note – the fifth season has been divided into two. When the show returns on August 21st, don’t be surprised if the episode count is low. A second half of the season is due – although when is anyone’s guess. That said, season five will not mark the end of Lucifer’s reign, with the streamer having picked up the show for a sixth and final season earlier this summer.

According to the official Netflix synopsis:

In the stunning and satisfying fifth season of Lucifer, the stakes are higher than ever. Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get an answer to the question, “will they or won’t they?”

Are you excited for "Lucifer"’s fifth season? What's this "will they or won't they" business? Talkback below!
