We have all noticed how the alternate posters for movies these days tend to be better than the official ones released by studios. A lot of those posters come from companies like Mondo or are simply fan creations shared on the internet. But, sometimes a fan’s creation can lead to an official poster and it is cool stories like that we all love to hear.

One such fan is Mike Johnston, an elementary school art teacher who painted some very cool murals featuring the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. You can check out his cool creation below along with five new posters featuring the Turtles and their nemesis, Shredder. I really like the black and white scheme of these posters which both harken back to the comic book origin of the characters as well as giving them an edgy vibe keeping with the new reboot.

Expect a lot more new media to be released soon as we are just a couple of months away from the release of the new movie. I, for one, am excited to see it. Now that the redesign of the Turtles has been picked apart by everyone online, I am just hoping we get an enjoyable action movie. As long as Mikey says cowabunga and eats pizza, I am all set.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES hits theaters on August 8th.
