I am working my way back through David Lynch's TWIN PEAKS like a motherf*cker. I have already rewatched the first season and around half of the second. I think I'm going to make it just in time for the premiere of the new season this coming Sunday, May 21st.

Before that airs though I'd suggest you check out these great videos about what a big deal the series was when it aired back in the day. If not as a fun refresher course for yourself, then share it with the person you love that isn't familiar with owls not being what they seem, before you get all wrapped up in the series again and they have no idea what's wrong with you.

TWIN PEAKS: The Phenomenon 3-part video series rundown:

A three-part video series about the TWIN PEAKS phenomenon, featuring interviews with David Lynch, Kyle MacLachlan, and major producers inspired by the series including Damon Lindelof (Lost), Lesli Linka Glatter (HOMELAND), David Hollander (RAY DONOVAN) and more discussing the influence of the original series, each piece outlines the importance of TWIN PEAKS to the world of television and content creation.

Showtime's new 30-day trial rundown:

Starting this week, SHOWTIME will also be offering new subscribers the opportunity to sign up for an extended 30-day free trial to SHOWTIME, in advance of the limited event series’ two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Immediately following the premiere on SHOWTIME, subscribers will have access to the third and fourth parts, exclusively across the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME® and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND®. In its second week, TWIN PEAKS will air the third and fourth parts back-to-back on SHOWTIME on May 28, starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by single parts in subsequent weeks.

Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new SHOWTIME 18-part limited event series picks up 25 years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered.

The cast includes Kyle MacLachlan, Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn, Dana Ashbrook, Madchen Amick, Miguel Ferrer, David Patrick Kelly, Richard Beymer, Mark Frost, Frost's father Warren Frost, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Peggy Lipton, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, James Marshall, Al Strobel, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz, Charlotte Stewart, Gary Hershberger, Jan D'Arcy, Harry Dean Stanton, Catherine E. TWIN PEAKS is written and executive produced by David Lynch and Mark Frost. Lynch will direct all 18 episodes of the new series, which debuts with a two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9 p.m.
