Hard to believe Tim Burton’s FRANKENWEENIE is still well over a month away, isn’t it? Not only have we been talking about this shite forever but lately the FRANKENWEENIE goods seemed to have come to a stand-still. I mean aside from a couple posters and some character shots we haven’t seen zilch from the project in over a month. But alas that’s about to change.
And it starts today with these three brand new stills from the flick! In the new shots, which can be found above and below, we’ve got our titular star as well as what looks to be some wolf action! Can’t go wrong with that, right? Get scrolling and enjoy!
The stop-motion animated film is a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor’s fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new “leash on life” can be monstrous.
FRANKENWEENIE, which stars the voice talent of Winona Ryder (below), Martin Short, Catherine O’Hara, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron and Conchata Ferrell, is set to hit theaters everywhere on October 5th. I’m sure we’ll be treated to a lot more WEENIE goods before then so be sure to check back soon!
