If you were like me, you were pumped to hear news of Peter Bracke’s book chronicling the FRIDAY THE 13TH series being released October 24th (one day before I blow my paycheck). You also immediately went and signed up at the official site for a chance at grabbing an advanced autographed copy of the book practically two weeks before it hits the shelves (October 10th, to be exact). You see where I’m going with this?
In addition to the book Bracke, along with the organizers of this year’s Screamfest, are planning a 25th anniversary screening of the first film on October 15th. Sean Cunningham will be in attendance for a Q&A, and following the picture you’ll get a chance to be one of the lucky few to get an advanced copy of the book. You can even show your movie ticket stub and get complimentary margaritas courtesy of Tarantula Azul Tequila!
If that wasn’t enough, appearances by various cast members are expected (though no names have been confirmed as of yet). So in short, call in sick that week, because you’ll be too damn busy to do much else! There goes my next two paychecks…
