Chucky TV series: Jennifer Tilly shares behind-the-scenes pics with co-stars

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The Syfy and USA Network television series Chucky, a continuation of the Child's Play franchise (the original films, not the remake), is currently in production, and cast member Jennifer Tilly is proving to be a great source of behind-the-scenes images. On her Twitter and Instagram accounts, Tilly has shared pictures of her hanging out on and around set with series creator Don Mancini and fellow cast members Fiona Dourif, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Jacob Breedon, Zackary Arthur, Devon Sawa, and Christine Elise. You can see these images embedded below.

Mancini, who has written every film in the Child's Play franchise (except for the remake) and directed a few of them, developed Chucky with producer David Kirschner. They are executive producing the show with Harley Peyton, Alex Hedlund, and Nick Antosca. Mancini also directed the first episode.

The show's synopsis:

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

The actors mentioned above are joined in the cast by Alex Vincent, Lexa Doig, Teo Briones, and Alyvia Alyn Lind. And yes, Brad Dourif will once again be providing the voice of Chucky, that iconic killer doll the show shares its name with.

Tilly is reprising the role of "Bride of Chucky" Tiffany on the show, while Fiona Dourif is back as Nica Pierce (who was left in quite an interesting situation at the end of Cult of Chucky), Vincent is Chucky's longtime enemy Andy Barclay, and Elise is Andy's foster sister Kyle. Everyone else is new to the franchise.

The first season of Chucky will consist of 10 episodes and is expected to start airing this fall.
