Cinema Snob’s Brad Jones writes and directs upcoming feature Disco

I came of age right before YouTube became a thing, where the only way to watch original content was Ebaum's world, Newgrounds, or any place that happened to support that shitty Realtime Player. Around that time, BlipTV was a thing, and my friends and I got really into The Nostalgia Critic, and then his subsequent collaborators like The Nostalgia Chick, Obscurus Lupa, Linkara of Atop the Fourth Wall, and The Cinema Snob.

Nostalgia Critic is definitely an apt name, because that's what I feel about watching the new videos of people like Lindsay Ellis (formerly The Nostalgia Chick) and Brad Jones (still going by Cinema Snob). So it's why I support their endeavors, like Jones' previous film he wrote JESUS, BRO, which spoofed the many batshit Christian films for his site (films, it must be noted, more notable for the batshit part of that equation).

Which is also why I'm repping for his next film, this time a directorial effort, called DISCO, about "three estranged sisters go out to a local discotheque as a way to rebound after years of separation." As you can see in the trailer above, there's the requisite drugs, sex, and violence a movie about a discotheque requires. And also you can see Doug Walker (The Nostalgia Critic) and Linkara in this thing too! I don't think the movie will be great (and as someone with a great fondness for trashy exploitation flicks, I doubt Jones would argue against that), but it's cool to see people outside the system make films that they want to, which should be encouraged one way or another.

Any other fans of The Cinema Snob or The Nostalgia Critic? If so, do you watch any of their films? Either way, sound off below!
