Clarice: new trailer unveiled for CBS’ new Silence of Lambs show

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Look, I'm not going to lie and say I'm looking forward to CBS' upcoming crime procedural drama Clarice, which is being positioned as a direct sequel to Jonathan Demme's 1991 thriller Silence of the Lambs, down to being set in the '90s (unlike the recent Hannibal series, which was a complete reboot set in the modern day).

But it's still a big deal, nonetheless, so I have to report on it. And now CBS has released a new trailer, which at least looks professional and polished, I suppose. Also, who knows? I wasn't too keen on a new Hannibal series either, and that turned out great! Maybe this one will as well? Weirder things have happened.

Anyway, here's the official synopsis:

Venture into 1993, a year after the events of "The Silence of the Lambs," to explore the untold personal story of Clarice Starling as she returns to the field to pursue serial murderers and sexual predators while navigating the high-stakes political world of Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, Clarice will premiere Thursday, February 11 at 10/9c on CBS and CBS All Access!

So what do you guys think? Fans of Silence of the Lambs? If so, how do you feel about the sequel show? Either way, sound off below!
