We're just two and a half weeks out from the theatrical release of director Neil Marshall's reboot of the HELLBOY franchise, and a pair of clips have arrived online to give us a preview of the title character, now played by Stranger Things' David Harbour, getting ready for action.

In a clip that ComingSoon got the exclusive first look at, Hellboy is visited by his mentor Professor Broom (Ian McShane) and informed that an occult society called the Osiris Club has requested his assistance in dealing with a "giant problem". If you look closely in this clip you'll see that this version of Hellboy has hooves, as he does in the comic book source material created by Mike Mignola.

In the next clip, the Osiris Club's Lord Adam Glaren (Alistair Petrie) gives Hellboy information on how their giant hunting expeditions work.

Written by Mignola, Andrew Cosby, Christopher Golden, and Aron Coleite, this HELLBOY finds the character,

along with his team of paranormal researchers, trying to save the world from a medieval sorceress who wants to destroy humankind.

Milla Jovovich plays that evil sorceress, Nimue, Queen of Blood. Also in the cast are Daniel Dae Kim as Major Ben Daimio, who can turn into a jaguar; Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, "who retains a connection to the magical world after being kidnapped by fairies as a child"; Penelope Mitchell as the elder witch Ganeida, Sophie Okonedo as the seer Lady Hatton, Brian Gleeson as the wizard Merlin, and (this is a rumor) Thomas Haden Church as Lobster Johnson.

HELLBOY reaches theatres on April 12th.
