I don’t personally think there is anyone more creative working in genre than Clive Barker. In fact I would support the idea that he is the most original mind the genre has ever seen outside of perhaps HP Lovecraft. Both create otherwise unimaginable worlds and populate them with beauty and profanity that is thrilling and shocking all at the same time.
Suffice to say I’m a fan.
So I, along with many others, have been waiting quite some time for THE SCARLET GOSPELS, which is Barker’s chance to finish off the storyline of his most well known character – Pinhead. Like many things Barker, though, what started as a small project has now grown epic. Great news for the finished book. Bad news for those who lack patience.
