Cobra Kai season three trailer teases a battle of the sensei

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Netflix dropped a little teaser video letting us know that the season three trailer for Cobra Kai was coming and they delivered on that promise. The full trailer for season three is here and the sequel series to The Karate Kid looks to continue its incredible run on the streamer.

The trailer drop also came on the heels of "Entertainment Weekly" publishing first-look images from the upcoming new episodes and they provided a peek of what's coming next for all of the show's major characters, which was expanded upon in the new trailer. The new season will pick up where season two left off, finding Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) now in the hospital following a high school brawl against Robby (Tanner Buchanan). Johnny (William Zabka) can be seen visiting Miguel in the hospital while Robby can be seen incarcerated for his part in the fight in another photo. The trailer also finds Daniel (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny back on speaking terms as we see them dispatching some thugs in some kind of garage fight. It also appears that the end result of season two has all led to John Kreese (Martin Kove) taking over the Cobra Kai dojo. You can check out the first look images below!

Cobra Kai is set 34 years after the first film and re-examines the narrative from Daniel's rival, Johhny Lawrence's point of view.  Lawrence is now a struggling alcoholic but he decides to reopen the Cobra Kai karate dojo which leads to the rekindling of his old rivalry with Daniel LaRusso. The show sees the return of both Ralph Macchio as Daniel and William Zabka as Johnny while the show also stars Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Vanessa Rubio, Peyton List, and Martin Kove.

Did You like the season three trailer for Cobra Kai? The new season hits Netflix on January 8, 2021.
