Now truth be told I’ve never seen a ‘Coffin Joe’ flick. Am I missing something here? The character has been around since the 1960s so he must be doing something right! And it seems Ol’ Joe isn’t slowing down anytime soon!
Thanks to Synapse Films’ Twitter we recently learned Coffin Joe’s latest adventure EMBODIMENT OF EVIL will be hitting DVD in 2010! Here’s the ‘tweet:’ “You heard it here first… Synapse Films is proud to announce EMBODIMENT OF EVIL for Blu-Ray and DVD in 2010. More details to come… “ Word has it the flick may even see a limited theatrical run! So what says you guys? Anyone out there a huge Coffin Joe fan? Apparently this latest installment follows the gravedigger Zé do Caixão fresh out of prison as he continues to search for the perfect woman to bear his son. “Zé do Caixão (Coffin Joe)’ is played by José Mojica Marins who co-wrote the film with Dennison Ramalho. Marins also directed the feature. No word on any solid release dates but as always we’ll keep you updated.
