Here we go with another genre offering from Down Under! I tells ya, Australians know their horror and I could usually eat up their films faster than a vegemite sandwich! This latest flick to pop up and say “G’day mate” is called COFFIN ROCK. You may be thining you’ve heard that name before. If so, then you’re probably thinking of that spot in the woods in THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT. This one ain’t about that. Here’s its plot:
COFFIN ROCK is about a married woman who’s so desperate for a child that she sleeps with a stranger in a drunken mistake. The young stranger’s claims to paternity then turn out to be quite deadly.
Hmm, that’s a pretty interesting concept. Sounds like a nice segway into some dark, intense shit. Plus, the first official pic from the film (up top) looks appropriately bad ass! Yes, this COFFIN looks primed to ROCK.
The flick also marks the debut of its writer/director Rupert Glasson, who should have it completed in January. The cast is composed of Lisa Chappell (below), Robert Taylor (STORM WARNING), and Sam Parsonson.
