CON: Alice exhibit!

JoBloJoBlo

On Wednesday night I was invited to a “super secret” ALICE IN WONDERLAND event here at Comic-Con. I wasn’t told a single thing about it other than just myself and about four other onliners would be participating. Hmm. I figured it was some early look at footage for the film but I was waaay off. Instead we met in the lobby of our hotel and started walking down the block. We eventually stopped in front of a vacant storefront and were asked to wait outside. Inside looked black. What exactly was going on here?

Finally we were told we could enter and to our right we saw this:

We were going to be the first audience to travel into the world of Wonderland and take a look at the new ALICE IN WONDERLAND exhibit that Disney has put together. It’s filled with props, artwork, costumes, miniatures and much more from the film all put together in recreations of the film’s sets. After walking through the door, I tumbled down the rabbit hole…

…landing myself in Wonderland. There really was so much to see and unlike a lot of museum exhibits you can walk around and really get up close and personal with a lot of the items (though some of the one-of-a-kind costumes are behind plexiglass). So how can you check out this exhibit (besides the preview gallery of pics I have below)? Well your first step is to follow @importantdate on Twitter. They’ll be posting information at 7am PST tomorrow on how to earn an invitation. It’ll be worth your while, I promise…
