Cool Horror Gear: 13 original unused Jurassic Park posters!

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

It's days like these – a slow news Friday in the dog days of summer – that afford us the time to share some Cool Horror Gear with y'all. So here we go!

On display today? A double fistful of unused JURASSIC PARK posters designed by artist John Alvin back in 1993. We all know of the iconic image actually chosen to market the film – the inimitable red and black sketch design of a profiled T-Rex – but take a peek at these wildly varied and at times even more frightening preliminaries. Very cool indeed!

Thanks to The Playlist for the heads-up, noting that a 140-page collection of his works, “The Art of John Alvin," is set to be published August 26th. Here's a dude not just responsible for the poster design of JURASSIC PARK, Alvin also designed artwork for E.T., BLADERUNNER, BATMAN, GREMLINS, THE LION KING and others. Dude's a legend.

Enter the PARK below!
