Modernized trailers for classic films have been popping up all over the internet lately; some are shitty and some are actually pretty damn good. One that I would file into the “pretty damn good” category would have to go to Jamie Martin’s modernized trailer for James Cameron’s 1984 classic THE TERMINATOR. And just like today's trailers, this one doesn't shy away from showcasing the major plot points of the film, which is forgivable considering it's 30 years old. While it's mostly action-heavy, I really dig the first half because it paints a darker picture around Kyle Reese, making him look like the Terminator.
He really couldn’t have picked a better time to cut this 2-and-a-half-minute gem together considering just last week we saw the very first trailer for TERMINATOR: GENISYS. If you somehow missed it, check it out right HERE.
