Rick Baker, as we all know, is a special make-up effect wizard, the best in the business. But as you’ll see in the video below, he’s not just extraordinarily adept with prosthetics and latex – the man is a master artist with the simpler tools as well. And guess what, you can be too!

In the below instructional videos, Baker shows you how to create terrific zombie, Day of the Dead and Bride of Frankenstein designs using simply cosmetic make-up. This should come in very handy on Halloween if you’re still searching for a costume. Of course, no one will expect you to match what Baker is able to do here, but the point is that it is possible to craft something clever and scary only using simple pencils and brushes. (The man actually just put out his own cosmetic make-up collection; check it out HERE.)
