Cool Horror Videos: Robert Englund wears Freddy make-up one last time

If you were lucky enough to be at Flashback Weekend in Chicago a few days ago, then perhaps you were among the fortunate few to see Robert Englund don the Freddy Krueger make-up one last time. (At least, “one last time” for the foreseeable future.)

In the below video, you’ll see a local Chicago news station receive exclusive access to the make-up room, where Robert Kurtzman applies Krueger’s visage to Englund’s face. Englund actually did this for a good cause: to raise money to save Chicago’s midway drive-in theater, so it’s nice to hear him talk about his passion for that vanishing American institution.

As a bonus, Freddy has a special message for all his fans at the very end of the video!
