This past weekend it was revealed that David Lynch had stepped away from Showtime's "Twin Peaks" revival series which, in all honesty, left me devastated. I mean, c'mon…who really wants to imagine "Twin Peaks" without Lynch? Not this guy! I'm a "Twin Peaks" fanatic. As I sit here writing this article I'm wearing my Agent Dale Cooper "Twin Peaks" T-shirt and enjoying a coffee as black as midnight on a moonless night, just the way Cooper likes his.
Fans of "Twin Peaks" weren't the only ones disappointed by the news that Lynch had quit the revival series. The cast of "Twin Peaks" are upset as well and have organized a #SaveTwinPeaks campaign to get Lynch back in the director's chair, starting with this cool video featuring many familiar faces from the "Twin Peaks" family imagining what "Twin Peaks without David Lynch is like…".
Here's hoping that somehow, some way Lynch will return to bring us the "Twin Peaks" revival we all want.
