Cool Video: Mortal Kombat actors play “Real or Fake Game Character”

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

So this is fun! GameSpot Universe's YouTube channel recently hosted a game called "Real or Fake Game Character" for the kast of Mortal Kombat to play! Now, there have been some weird-ass kharcters throughout the series (including robot ninjas, centaurs, and just some random cop), so the stars of the film have their work cut out for them (and they fare better than you'd expect, especially Lewis Tan)!

Here's the official description:

The stars of 2021's Mortal Kombat movie try to tell the difference between a real Mortal Kombat game character and one we just made up in this game of Real or Fake?

There have been so many Mortal Kombat games that we decided to put Joe Taslim (Bi-Han/Sub-Zero), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang) and more stars from 2021's Mortal Kombat movie to the test by presenting a series of characters and short descriptions tied to real MK characters and some that we just made up, including Reptile, Baraka, and Floragore — can they tell the difference?

And here's the official synopsis for the film:

A washed-up mixed martial arts fighter named Cole Young is unaware of his hidden lineage or why he is being hunted down by Sub-Zero of the Lin-Kuei clan of assassins. Concerned for the safety of his family, he seeks out a clique of fighters that were chosen to defend Earthrealm in a high-stakes battle against the forces of Outworld in a inter-dimensional fighting tournament that occurs once in a generation. Appearances to be made by Shang Tsung, Goro, Jax Briggs, Sonya Blade, Kano, Scorpion and more fan favorites!

Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat has gotten over to HBO Max and select theaters right now!

So what did you guys think of the new Mortal Kombat film? Love it, hate it, thought it was meh? Either way, sound off below!
