Update: Someone took the time to add the backing track to Pratt’s vocal stylings, so you can hear just how close he comes to Mathers’ original words. I’ve kept the original video further down in the article. Enjoy!

Chris Pratt‘s been making the publicity rounds given his phenomenal opening this past weekend with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Given that JURASSIC WORLD is wrapping today, now’s the time to discuss some important topics, like why there are no black dinosaurs, and the fact that Pratt knows every single word off of Chronic 2001. No need to take my word for it, though, as he was more than happy to back up his talk with . . . more talk.

Viewers who have frequented Parks and Recreation can tell you that Pratt having all the charisma in the galaxy and then some is no surprise, but it’s nice to see him enjoying his star status and still not forgetting his van-slumming, weed-smoking roots.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is in theaters now, while JURASSIC WORLD hits June 12, 2015.
