THE BIG LEBOWSKI is one of my favorite movies. Yeah, I know almost everyone who considers themselves a movie fan likely says that, but I remember seeing it in the theater with only a handful of other folks who had no idea what they were in for. I loved every moment of the batshit crazy Coen brand of comedy and a film noir unlike any other. While we may never get a true sequel to THE BIG LEBOWSKI, this new short film definitely uses it for inspiration.
Produced by Kahlua, the short stars Jeff Bridges in a very Dude-like performance. The movie is even called "The White Russian" which makes it even cooler. It shares no direct connection to THE BIG LEBOWSKI, but you can definitely sense a thematic connection as well as that glimmer in Jeff Bridges' eye.
A mixed up story you wouldn’t believe, until you hear it from the man who was there…
That man? Academy Award-winner Jeff Bridges.
He tells the twisting tale of the unexpected encounter of two men from different worlds. Shot by Award-winning director Ivan Zacharias this Kahlúa Production was set in the Mexican desert in the early 70’s, and a present day bar you may just stumble upon one day…
