How can you possibly improve on John Carpenter’s THE THING? It’s his seminal work, a true masterpiece of horror, a film that holds up to multiple viewings and whose special effects still remain effective today. How can a remake, prequel or sequel possibly hope to do one better? Who would be so stupid as to even try?
