To get you in the spirt of the 4th of July, Screen Junkies has put together another honest trailer, this time for Roland Emmerich‘s INDEPENDENCE DAY! This lengthy “trailer” has got some great bits throughout on a pretty easy target, but also pays respect to the film’s undeniable charms, especially that rousing speech by Bill Pullman. From start to finish, I think this may be one of their best yet, and brings up many of the well-documented issues with the film (mac virus, leaping dog, etc.), while still acknowledging the staying power of one of the cheesiest awesome movies ever made.

Light the fuse and cover your ears:

With the news that Emmerich is finally delivering a sequel to INDEPENDENCE DAY in 2015 are there any key scenes, motifs, or characters that you think MUST be included? Sound off below!
