
Despite the single being released almost five months ago, Arcade Fire have just released a music video for “The Suburbs,” from the album of the same name. The video pairs the band from JoBlo and Arrow’s hometown of Montreal with Spike Jonze who had previously said their first album “Funeral” was an inspiration for him while making WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE.
The video is a rather literate adaptation of the song but also very distinctly Spike Jonze. Sadly Jonze has yet to figure out what his next feature project is but in the meanwhile we’ll make do with little mini-films like this…
