Tom Hardy is the one of the most intense, often horrifying, actors working today. He’s known for playing rogues, rascals, swindlers and straight-up nutbags in movies like MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, THE REVENANT and BRONSON. But did you know he is shockingly good at reading delightful bedtime stories? Nor did I, which is why I was appropriately shocked to watch him read a child’s bedtime story like nobody’s business. While on a BBC children’s show, Hardy cuddled up with a dog and lots of stuffed animals, and read a proper child’s story, and in the process delivered a warm cure for insomnia. I will go out on a limb and say it would've ended better if Hardy smashed in someone's eyeballs, but a solid goodnight works too.
