The Hallow

Not much of a surprise here considering Corin Hardy’s THE HALLOW was one of the most talked about genre films at Sundance last month. Deadline got the word that IFC Midnight has closed a low-seven-figure deal for U.S. rights to the horror film. That’s a pretty big deal for an unknown director and an indie film, that’s for sure.

We’ve been talking a lot about Hardy over the last few months, not only for his work on THE HALLOW, but because he has been tapped to direct THE CROW reboot for Relativity. Be sure to read our review of THE HALLOW right HERE to see what we thought of Hardy’s latest.

The synopsis:

When a London-based conservationist is sent to Ireland to survey an area of ancient forest believed by the superstitious locals to be hallowed ground, he unwittingly disturbs a horde of terrifying beings and must fight to protect his family.

THE HALLOW stars Joseph Mawle, Bojana Novakovic, Michael McElhatton and Michael Smiley.
