Less than two weeks ago we finally confirmed that Ivan Reitman will indeed be getting back behind the camera for GHOSTBUSTERS 3 and that he hopes to start filming in this next year. This thing is finally coming together people! It’s happening! And it might be happening in three dimensions!
According to the Market Saw blog GHOSTBUERS 3 will indeed be in 3D! I know this whole 3D craze is pretty out of control but what part of GHOSTBUSTERS in 3D doesn’t sound awesome?! Ghosts flying at you, slime oozing it’s way into your lap and protons streaming through the theater! Oh man this just keeps getting better and better. I’ve got to admit though… Market Saw’s source doesn’t exactly sound like a sure thing:
“Yes – I have word from one of my top sources that a friend of his at a certain well known effects house (I can’t say who it is, but their initials are ILM) said that GHOSTBUSTERS 3 is proceeding as planned – but – with the added benefit of stereoscopic 3D!”
You know it’s funny because my brother’s math teacher’s daughter’s aunt’s butcher heard the same exact thing! Seriously though I’m going to go ahead and believe this bit of news because it sounds awesome. Do you guys agree? Would you be even more stoked for GHOSTBUSTERS 3 if it was coming at us in 3D? Hopefully this gets confirmed (or denied?) soon so be sure to keep it here for that confirmation (or denial?) when we hear it!
